As many of you know, the Teaching Support Staff Union (TSSU) is currently in bargaining with the University Administration. As faculty members, you play an important role in the working and scholarly lives of our members. Issues of research productivity and graduate funding are intimately linked to TSSU’s efforts to build a better collective agreement. In addition, many of your teaching colleagues are now sessional instructors, who are represented by TSSU and are seeking to be able to earn some job security in recognition of teaching.
TSSU has created a faculty outreach committee to ensure faculty have the information they need about TSSU’s bargaining. The goal of this committee is to provide faculty a single place to get up-to-date information on the status of the TSSU’s job actions, how they will affect you and your class, and how you can support us in our struggles for a fair contract and better learning conditions.
